Using social media for journalism isn’t just about posting catchy headlines and visuals for the sake of referral traffic. Instead, social media platforms like Twitter should be seen as new tools journalists can use for everyday reporting, whether it’s sharing a statement from an organization in reaction to a news event or live-tweeting events as they happen.
